Growing rapidly to keep up with explosive client and project demand, Alkemy X has expanded its VFX and post teams with three new key hires. The roles mark a continuation of the growth the company experienced as it recently celebrated its 40th anniversary in business, where it brought on eight new team members to spread across the company’s design and post production and live-action sectors. Additionally, the company now has an increased presence in Los Angeles as well as Singapore, Vancouver and Toronto.

Notes Alkemy X president and CEO Justin Wineburgh: “Our team has not only been resilient in the face of pandemic adversity but embraced those challenges as an opportunity to learn, innovate and thrive. As we continue to build momentum, I’m thrilled to fortify our powerhouse team with this lineup of immensely talented individuals as our volume and scope of work continue to expand.”

In Alkemy X’s visual effects division, Brian Hayman has joined as a VFX compositor in New York. Hayman has worked across feature films, television shows and commercials. His passion for capturing and revealing images compels him to create spectacular, moving images. Hayman studied Film and Television at Boston University, specializing in film editing. Further, Cat Shen joins the visual effects team as a CG Generalist, specializing in digital 3D media. Most recently working as a freelancer, she has been a CG Generalist for over five years with work in compositing shots, sculpting, creating 3D layouts, and rotoscoping figures. Shen earned a degree in Illustration from the acclaimed Rhode Island School of Design.  Finally, Alkemy X’s post production team has again expanded to include the addition of accomplished video editor Vincent Cordisco. Earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University in Communication - Media Production, Cordisco has worked as an editor for over a decade, most recently serving as Senior Video Editor for clients including Chevrolet, Miller Lite, Pepsi and Lowes.
