1. Pioneer Stereo Receiver

I’ve had this small but mighty receiver for many years, and it’s almost always on, often playing 8Radio from Dublin. I can’t stand a quiet space, so I’m usually listening to music, podcasts, or mix tapes I made in middle and high school. It’s my constant companion.

 2. My Funko Pops and Nerd Toys

These goofy big headed representations of my favorite characters bring me joy, and are a good reminder not to take things too seriously. I rotate them out pretty regularly. Janet from The Good Place is always on my desk though. She’s an icon.

3. Slack

The people I work with are truly all over the globe. Slack helps me stay connected on a personal level. It’s fun to share pet photos, trash talk pop culture moments and post the latest binge watches with everyone. In this remote age, it’s the equivalent to hanging in the production office. You’re a better team when you know the kinds of crappy TV people watch. Ha! Oh, and we use it for projects too. Of course.

4. My phone

It may as well be implanted at this point. My Notes app is my brain. I could not do my job without it and I don’t know anyone else in our business who feels differently. If they do, please reach out and tell me your secrets.

5. Cauliflower

She’s the CHO (Chief Happiness Officer) around here and keeps me on task. Cauliflower can diffuse a stressful situation with one wag of her tail or help me solve a vexing problem with her insightful ideas. Truly the best co-worker I’ve ever had. She has been guilty of stealing my snacks, though.
